We're off!
This month saw the launch of my debut novel Wings - Book One: The Revelation's Prophecy.
Oh my goodness, what a launch it was too. In the my home town Barnsley, at the West End WMC...because those places are the basis of my life...Club Trip Forever! I set up my stall and prepared for goodness knows what.
I didn't, on purpose, check to see who was attending, I didn't want to know. Parties for myself have always caused me a lot of anxiety. The fear of no one turning up.
However, I was wrong to worry.
I was so so grateful to everyone that came and spent their Saturday afternoon with yours truly. I had folk attending who I hadn't seen in years. I was blown away by the love and support.
To be honest, it hasn't really sunk in yet. I keep being asked if it has and honestly, I don't think it ever will. I'm trying to enjoy the ride whilst it's still moving.
On the day and still after, to say I was a tad emotional, would be an understatement.
Thank you to everyone that came and those who have supported me. You were in the speech, you know who you are but I truly could not have done it without you!

Learning Curves
What I did learn from that day was three things.
I sweat quite a lot.
Talking publicly, something I do in my 9 - 5, really crept up on me. Note to ones self...have a fan!
I work so well under pressure.
Mobile payments stopped working - because, we'll call them schmeypal...put a block on it for unknown activity. Turns out being prepared and setting up mobile payments in advance of the launch was a silly thing to do. Stupid me for being organised.
Wrapping the books live was a feat which lead me to receiving 1st Place in quick wrapping. I have now shown my other half to do this so I can sign and chat whilst he does the leg work.
People are just wonderful.
Lapland 2025 - A Short Review
If you have not done this experience and you are a Christmas lover, like myself, this is 100% a must.
A great family visit, no spoilers as it really is something you need to go and experience for the first time, eyes wide open, to truly feel the magic.
A little bit pricey but it was all massively worth it. So magical, so wonderful and inclusive and just perfect for Christmas.
